The idea is to have a learning place where kids can be sent to learn about topics not covered in conventional public school education. Topics like personal finance, relationships, the dangers of superstition, the dangers of xenophobia, ills of racism, the importance of the environment, rhetoric and dialectic, how to build an argument, the science of persuasion, effective writing, etc. These could be short modules – maybe one to three days long, and should be both instructional and practical-based. The idea is that a young student could learn important life lessons early in life rather than having to experience pain gaining the same knowledge.
